Liverpool forward Darwin Nunez frustrates vs Girona
Warnock said about Nunez on BBC Radio 5 Live in the first half: “Liverpool are struggling in attacking areas because Darwin Nunez doesn’t want to be involved until the ball enters the penalty area. That’s not the way Liverpool want to play football.”
The BBC Sport pundit added in the opening minutes of the second period: “I’ve run out of things to say about him. I do like Darwin Nunez but when it goes into him the ball just comes back.”
Warnock said when Nunez was coming off: “No surprise. Darwin Nunez looks very frustrated as he is going off but he can have no complaints.
“He hasn’t been at his best tonight and his link-up play he has struggled with. Another frustrating evening for a big Liverpool player.”
