Celtic will face Dundee United on Sunday in the Scottish Premiership away from Parkhead.
The Bhoys secured their first domestic trophy of the season last week after they defeated Rangers 5-4 on penalties.
Celtic have taken a healthy 11-point lead over Rangers in the Premiership, but Brendan Rodgers’ side are unlikely to lose their focus.
Ahead of the match, the Bhoys have suffered a big blow today. Rodgers has confirmed to the reporters that James Forrest has picked up an injury and he faces six weeks on the sidelines.
The 33-year-old picked up an injury during the League Cup final against the Gers.
Losing James Forrest is a big blow for Celtic
Forrest has played all his career at Celtic after coming through the youth ranks at the club. He has another year on his contract, and Celtic may look to extend it further if he remains fit.
The Bhoys winger picked up his 25th Celtic trophy last week, which is an incredible achievement. He now shares the club record with the legendary Bobby Lennox and will almost certainly be seen as the most decorated Celtic player in the club’s history.
This season, Forrest has made five starts in the league, and a further ten appearances have come from the bench. He has registered four assists.
The 39-times capped Scotland winger has made over 515 appearances for Celtic, scoring 108 goals.

If we follow the tentative injury timeline, Forrest will miss not only the clash against Rangers at Ibrox on January 2 but also the crucial Champions League game against Young Boys on January 22.
Celtic do have enough quality in their attacking areas, and probably Rodgers will not look to sign any new attacker despite Forrest’s injury.
The Bhoys have been recently linked with a move for Arsenal left-back Kieran Tierney, and Rodgers has refused to rule out a move for him.
