Tottenham Hotspur defender Cristian Romero picked up an injury against Chelsea in their 4-3 loss in the Premier League on Sunday.
The 26-year-old centre-back was taken off in the 15th minute after he appeared to have picked up a muscle injury.
Ange Postecoglou said after the game that he hopes Romero’s injury is not serious, but it appears the Argentine could be out on the sidelines for a while.
According to TyC Sports journalist Gaston Edul, Romero could be out for six weeks.
He wrote: “Cuti Romero has a muscle injury, not in his foot. He has recovered from that injury. He will be out for six weeks.”
Cuti Romero tiene una lesión muscular, no fue en el pie. Está curado de esa lesión.

Massive blow for Tottenham
The news will come as a massive blow for Spurs, as they are short of options at the back.
Postecoglou took a big gamble against Chelsea when he started with both Romero and Micky van de Ven.
Romero got injured quickly and he was replaced by Radu Dragusin. Van de Ven was replaced by Archie Gray in the 79th minute.
The Argentine is a key player for Spurs, and losing him at a key moment of the season when the team is struggling will put more pressure on the manager.
Postecoglou hopes that Van de Ven’s injury is not serious and that he will be able to continue in the next game.
If Romero remains out of action for more than a month, he will miss the busy festive fixtures.
With Ben Davies also out injured, Spurs are running out of proper options at the back. Postecoglou might have to use Gray and Dragusin in the next game in midweek against Rangers if Van de Ven fails to recover quickly.
Postecoglou hinted that Spurs would be looking to add a few players to their ranks next month, and signing a new defender will be a top priority for the club.
