Kieran Tierney is keen on leaving Arsenal for Celtic

Kieran Tierney is very interested in leaving Arsenal for Celtic in the summer of 2025.

That is according to Sky Sports, which has noted how much Tierney wants to go back to Celtic.

Arsenal have decided not to take up the one-year option in Tierney’s contract, meaning that the Scotland international left-back will become a free agent at the end of the season.

Tierney is so determined to return to Celtic that he is willing to take a “significant pay cut” to make the deal happen.

Sky Sports have reported that talks between the Scottish Premiership giants and Tierney are progressing well, with both parties keen on signing a pre-contract agreement.

The report has added that Celtic are also exploring a loan deal for the 27-year-old Scotland international left-back, but it is unlikely that such a move will happen until later in the January transfer window.

Celtic transfer would be perfect for Kieran Tierney

Tierney made his name at Celtic. He came through at the Hoops’ youth academy and established himself in the first team.

The Scotland international won the Scottish Premiership title four times, the Scottish Cup on two occasions, and the Scottish League Cup twice with the Bhoys.

Much was expected of Tierney when he moved to Arsenal in 2019, but there have been injury problems for the left-back, who also had a loan spell at Spanish club Real Sociedad in the 2023-24 campaign.

Tierney starred at Celtic under Brendan Rodgers, and there is a very good chance that he could get back to his best under the former Liverpool manager.

The left-back would be able to make an immediate impact at Celtic, who should try their best to bring him to Celtic Park on a loan deal in the January transfer window and then sign him on a permanent contract in the summer of 2025.
