Manchester City are looking to secure the signing of Valladolid centre-back Juma Bah in the January transfer window.
City are very active in the January transfer window and have already secured two signings.
The Premier League champions confirmed the signing of Uzbekistan defender Abdukodir Khusanov from Lens on a four-and-a-half-year deal.
City have today confirmed that Brazilian defender Vitor Reis has joined from Palmeiras.
Like Khusanov, City have handed the Brazilian youth international a four-and-a-half-year deal, keeping him at the club until the summer of 2029.
It appears City are still looking to make more signings, and Bah could join next.
According to Fabrizio Romano, City have reached a verbal agreement to sign Bah who joined Valladolid last summer.
City could send him on loan to Lens for the rest of the season, and such a move has been discussed already. The Premier League club have developed an “excellent relationship” with Lens after the Khusanov deal, and the move would be beneficial for all parties.
Romano wrote: “Exclusive: Manchester City are set to sign 2004 born CB Juma Bah from Valladolid!
“Verbal agreement done. Understand plan could include loan move to RC Lens being discussed, excellent relationship after Khusanov deal. Formal steps to follow… here we go, soon.”
It appears that City have changed their transfer focus in the January window. Pep Guardiola is looking to bring in young players with tremendous potential rather than already established stars.
Eintracht Frankfurt attacker Omar Marmoush is likely to join next. The Egyptian has already arrived in Manchester to undergo his medical.
City are also keen to sign their former player Douglas Luiz who has turned out to be a major flop since joining Juventus.
