Tottenham Hotspur are considering a loan move for Milan Skriniar in the January transfer window, according to Ben Jacobs.
The transfer expert claimed on X that Spurs are one of the clubs considering to sign him on loan on a short-term basis.
Spurs have been previously linked with a move for him, and they are desperate to sign a new centre-back following injuries to Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven.
Tottenham could face competition from Premier League rivals Aston Villa, who are looking to sign a new defender after the injury to Pau Torres.
Jacobs says that Turkish club Galatasaray remain in talks to sign Skriniar, but Spurs are also in the hunt to sign the 77-cap Slovakian international.
Skriniar has dropped down the pecking order at PSG, and he is keen to resolve his future by next week.
Good signing for Tottenham?
Skriniar enjoyed six fantastic years at Inter Milan, where he made over 245 appearances for the Italian giants.
In the summer of 2023, he moved to Paris Saint-Germain, but the transfer hasn’t worked out in his favour. This season, he has made only five appearances, and he is determined to leave the club in search of regular game time.
Radu Dragusin and Archie Gray have been playing at the back for Ange Postecoglou in recent weeks, and Spurs need more quality at the back.
Skriniar is a vastly experienced defender, and he would be a smart addition to the club on a loan deal.
Tottenham have already signed one player this month, and they are also looking to bolster their forward areas.
According to a recent report, Spurs are looking to sign French striker Randal Kolo Muani on loan as well. If they can sign both Kolo Muani and Skriniar, it would represent a terrific transfer window for them.
