West Ham United have announced the appointment of Graham Potter as their new manager following the sacking of Julen Lopetegui.
The 49-year-old, who previously managed Brighton & Hove Albion and Chelsea, has penned a two-and-a-half-year contract with the Hammers.
It is merely hours since West Ham confirmed Potter’s appointment, and they are already being linked with exciting targets that will make their fans very happy.
According to ExWHUEmployee, they want to bring Manchester United star Marcus Rashford to the London Stadium in January.
The 27-year-old has been struggling for game time under manager Ruben Amorim. He publicly admitted last month that he is ready for a new challenge.
United are reportedly ready to loan out Rashford this month, with a host of European clubs linked with an interest including AC Milan, Juventus and Napoli.
And now West Ham have also seemingly entered the race for the England international.
It is said that a transfer is unlikely as Milan seem to be leading the chase for the talented forward.
But the Irons have a slim hope of landing the player if a move to a top European club doesn’t happen and if United pay a large percentage of his wages.
Rashford, hailed as “one of the best players in the world” by Andre Onana, has been enduring a difficult 2024-25 campaign, scoring four goals in 15 Premier League appearances.
But he is undoubtedly a huge talent who is highly rated for his speed and finishing ability.
He boasts a lot of experience at the top level of football, making 426 senior appearances and scoring 138 goals.
It would be a huge coup for West Ham if they manage to bring a player like Rashford to their club.
