Chelsea reluctant to loan Nicolas Jackson to Bayern Munich

Chelsea are weighing up Nicolas Jackson’s future ahead of next week’s transfer deadline, with Bayern Munich pushing hardest to sign him.

The Telegraph claims the Blues are stalling on giving the green light for the Senegalese striker to join the Bundesliga champions.

Bayern are keen to agree a deal for Jackson. They want to snap him up on loan with a mandatory purchase option, and Jackson wants to join them.

However, Chelsea are in no rush to sanction a deal. The Blues want clarity on Alexander Isak’s future before making a final decision on where Jackson ends up.

They know that either Newcastle United or Liverpool could still enter the market for Jackson if the Swedish international striker leaves St James’ Park in the next few days.

Newcastle have made it clear that they will not part ways with Isak unless it’s on their own terms.

They have slapped an earth-shattering £150 million asking price on Isak and have already turned down a mammoth £110m bid from Liverpool.

The Reds have not entirely abandoned their pursuit, although they’ve decided that they won’t go back in with another bid unless Newcastle lower their demands.

Chelsea believe that any late development could suddenly make Jackson a prime target, so they’re ready to hold their nerve despite Bayern’s strong interest.

Aston Villa are also monitoring the striker’s situation but may struggle to match Chelsea’s demands.

Meanwhile, Chelsea are on the cusp of agreeing a deal for Christopher Nkunku to join AC Milan for a fee of around £30m.

Chelsea are expected to be very busy over the next few days. They are looking to move on Axel Disasi, Tyrique George, Raheem Sterling and Ben Chilwell.

They are getting closer to finalising a deal for Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho, while RB Leipzig’s Xavi Simons and Barcelona’s Fermin Lopez are firmly on their radar.
