Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers increasingly likely to leave Hoops when his contract expires at the end of the season

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers is increasingly likely to leave the club when his contract ends at the end of the season, according to talkSPORT.

The Celtic boss has yet to sign a contract extension since he returned on a three-year deal in 2023.

Rodgers could look to seek a fresh challenge after re-establishing his dominance with the Hoops in the Scottish Premiership.

A return to the Premier League could appeal to the 52-year-old, and several clubs could come calling at the end of the season.

Crystal Palace, Bournemouth and Fulham could all be in the market for a new manager at the end of the campaign as their respective bosses are also out of contract next summer.

Nottingham Forest could also need a new manager soon, with Ange Postecoglou under pressure. Rodgers could be in the running for those jobs after what he has achieved with Celtic.

The Northern Irishman could also be angling for the England job if Thomas Tuchel decides to leave early after the World Cup next summer.

Celtic have dominated the Scottish Premiership, but struggled to take things to the next level in Europe, which is a black mark against Rodgers.

While the gulf in quality between them and the big European clubs is often cited as an excuse, they could fancy their chances of improving under another manager.

The Bhoys will not be short of options if the managerial role becomes vacant, but appointing someone capable of replacing Rodgers could be tricky.
