Moyes heaps praise on Ndiaye following fine form for Everton

Everton attacker Iliman Ndiaye has enjoyed a brilliant start to the 2025/26 season, playing a massive role as they bid to secure European football.

The Everton ace has bagged three goals and created two big chances, but those numbers do not reflect the overall impact he has made.

Ndiaye is Everton’s driving force in the final third. Everton manager David Moyes has lauded his side’s talisman.

Moyes said (via the club’s official website): “Ili has hugely impressed me with how he’s played. He’s gone from the left side to the right side. He can play either side. I think he’s been better there.

“We played him as a number ten recently (the first half against Crystal Palace), and I don’t think it suited him as much as playing off the sides. He’s been so good. We’re getting goals from him as well.

“He’s a great lad to work with. He’s shown some brilliant moments, especially in the first half against Manchester City, but we just want him to be like that in all the games.”

Tottenham Hotspur boss Thomas Frank also singled him out for praise ahead of this weekend’s clash.

The ‘mesmeric‘ playmaker will be a key player as the Toffees look to get back to winning ways following the loss to the Cityzens.

Everton have won once in their last five games across all competitions and desperately need all three points at the Hill Dickinson Stadium on Sunday.

They will take confidence from the fact that Spurs have not beaten them away from home since December 2018.

Everton have also won each of their last five Premier League matches played on a Sunday.
