PSG eyeing January move for Real Madrid striker Endrick

Paris Saint-Germain are interested in signing Real Madrid striker Endrick.

According to SPORT, the Ligue 1 champions are plotting a January move for the 19-year-old striker who has fallen out of favour at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Endrick joined Madrid last year, with a reputation as one of the best young players in South America.

Los Blancos paid around €60 million to lure him away from Palmeiras, which suggested that they were convinced he had enough potential to develop into a world-beater.

However, the teenager has failed to earn a place in new manager Xabi Alonso’s plans, so his long-term future has been a hot topic over the past few weeks.

Madrid could cut him loose in January, although only loan exits are on the cards at the moment.

Endrick has had a rough time at Madrid, but he started forcing his way into the first team last season under former manager Carlo Ancelotti.

He made 37 appearances across all competitions last season, notching seven goals and an assist. But he hasn’t played a single minute of football under Alonso.

Injuries kept him out of the loop at the start of the season. But even when fit, he has been an unused substitute in five games across La Liga and the Champions League.

Franco Mastantuono and Gonzalo Garcia have jumped ahead of Endrick in the pecking order, making it more difficult for the Brazilian.

PSG are struggling with injuries. They are looking to bring in mid-season reinforcements, and Endrick is a target.

The Brazilian can play across each position in the frontline and would add depth to PSG’s already frightening attacking options. Juventus are also in the race.

Meanwhile, Madrid are in the market for defensive reinforcements and are eyeing a move for Crystal Palace captain March Guehi.
