Manchester United and Arsenal can activate the £44 million release clause of Borussia Dortmund striker Serhou Guirassy next summer, according to German outlet Sport Bild.
The 6ft 2in Frenchman wants to leave the Bundesliga club in the summer, and a move to the Premier League could appeal to him.
Man United and Arsenal are not the only clubs that can sign the 29-year-old for £44m. His release clause is also valid for Manchester City, Chelsea, Liverpool, Real Madrid and Barcelona.
He has bagged nine goals and four assists in 17 games this term, after ending last season with 38 goals and nine assists in 50 appearances.
The Red Devils signed Slovenian striker Benjamin Sesko in the summer, but he has struggled to hit the ground running, with two goals and one assist to his name in 12 games.
Man United manager Ruben Amorim has publicly backed Sesko, but the club may still pursue Guirassy.
The Red Devils are likely to sell Joshua Zirkzee or loan him out, and the Dortmund hitman could be the perfect replacement given his proven record in front of goal over the years.
He notched 44 goals and five assists in 58 games for VfB Stuttgart before joining Dortmund in 2024, and he would be a solid signing for United.
Guirassy has tallied 18 goals and eight assists in 23 Champions League matches, showing what he is capable of against some of the best teams on the continent.
