Manchester United are monitoring the situation of Everton midfielder James Garner, according to talkSPORT.
He played a starring role in helping the Toffees to victory against Man United at Old Trafford last night.
Garner is out of contract at the end of the season, and the Red Devils would love to have their academy graduate back for free.
However, Everton are stepping up contract talks with the 24-year-old as manager David Moyes does not want to lose him.
Garner joined the Toffees from Man United in 2022, signing a four-year deal. He has since established himself as a key player for Everton.
The Englishman has played almost 100 games for Everton, and England manager Thomas Tuchel appears to be monitoring him after they were spotted having a conversation last night.
Garner was brilliant after midfield partner Idrissa Gueye was sent off 13 minutes into the game.
The Man United academy graduate has also featured at right-back and left-back this season, and it appears manager Ruben Amorim is a fan of his style of play.
The Red Devils have been desperate to bolster their options in midfield for a while and have been linked with Brighton & Hove Albion star Carlos Baleba.
Crystal Palace’s Adam Wharton and Nottingham Forest midfielder Elliot Anderson are other potential options.
Garner could be available for free in the summer, which makes him an attractive option for other clubs.
Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest are also monitoring his situation.
