West Ham United are eyeing Manchester United striker Joshua Zirkzee as a potential replacement for Niclas Fullkrug, according to talkSPORT.
The Hammers have agreed to loan the German striker to AC Milan ahead of the winter transfer window, and manager Nuno Espirito Santo wants Zirkzee to replace him.
West Ham have agreed to sell Fullkrug for €13 million, provided Milan are willing to exercise the option to buy.
The 32-year-old has played his last game for West Ham as they will look to sell him to another club if Milan opt against activating the option to buy.
The Hammers are hoping to get Zirkzee as his replacement.
However, they do not believe Man United will loan the Netherlands international to a Premier League club if they were to sanction an exit.
Zirkzee has played 11 games across all competitions this term, but he has started just three times and could be open to leaving.
The 24-year-old scored seven times in 49 games last term but will fancy his chances of doing better when given a regular run of games.
He notched 32 goals across three seasons at Anderlecht and Bologna before joining Man United.
Zirkzee knows he needs to play more games in the second half of the season if he wants to go to the World Cup, and West Ham are willing to offer him an opportunity to prove himself.
West Ham also have Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Jorgen Strand Larsen on their radar, while talks are ongoing over a proposed move for Fulham attacking midfielder Adama Traore.
