West Ham United striker Niclas Fullkrug set to join AC Milan on loan until summer

West Ham United have reached an agreement for German striker Niclas Fullkrug to join AC Milan on loan until summer, according to Sky Germany journalist Patrick Berger.

Fullkrug had been keen to leave the Hammers ahead of the winter transfer window and will now get his wish.

He is set to undergo medical checks soon, and while some other details are yet to be sorted, Milan have agreed to cover his full salary until the end of the season.

The Italians are not paying a loan fee to West Ham, but there is an option to buy the striker in the deal.

The 32-year-old joined the club from Borussia Dortmund for £27 million on a four-year contract in 2024.

Fullkrug has played 29 games for West Ham, weighing in with three goals and two assists.

While several injuries have limited the German since he arrived in London, he has struggled to make an impact even when fit.

He has played nine games this term but has neither scored nor assisted a goal, and West Ham could do with an upgrade heading into the second half of the season.

Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Jorgen Strand Larsen has emerged as a target, while discussions are ongoing over a proposed move for Fulham attacking midfielder Adama Traore.

More attackers are expected to be linked with West Ham in the coming weeks as they need to recruit in the position to boost their survival chances.

Manager Nuno Espirito Santo will also hope that his current attacking options step up as failure to do so could prove catastrophic.
