West Ham United want Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Jorgen Strand Larsen

West Ham United want to sign Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Jorgen Strand Larsen during the winter transfer window, according to The Athletic journalist David Ornstein.

Manager Nuno Espirito Santo is preparing for life without Niclas Fullkrug. He is expected to join AC Milan on loan. Strand Larsen is on West Ham’s radar.

The 25-year-old notched 14 goals and four assists in 35 Premier League games last term and could be a perfect fit for West Ham.

The Norway international has only scored three goals across all competitions this term, with Wolves fighting against relegation.

They are 20th in the table after 17 games having picked up just two points.

Strand Larsen is expected to leave Wolves at the end of the season if they go down but West Ham are offering him an escape route next month.

However, whether Wolves will be open to selling him is unclear, and joining another club fighting relegation may not appeal to him.

The Hammers are 18th in the table having won three games, drawn four and lost ten, with five points between them and safety.

They have scored 19 league goals and are in dire need of attacking reinforcements heading into the second half of the season.

West Ham will have other striking targets on their radar, but they need someone with Premier League experience and cannot afford to gamble on just anyone right now.

Strand Larsen will be desperate to prove himself elsewhere after his impressive campaign last term, and a move to West Ham could be perfect for him.
