Arsenal are keen on signing Borussia Dortmund winger Julian Brandt in the summer, according to Sky Germany journalist Patrick Berger.
Manager Mikel Arteta will look to strengthen his attacking ranks ahead of next season, and the Gunners are monitoring the German’s situation.
Brandt will be a free agent in the summer, and several clubs are interested in signing him.
The 29-year-old, who is Kai Havertz’s best friend, is also on Barcelona’s radar.
The German’s versatility would come in handy under a manager like Arteta, which could be one of the reasons they are attracted to him.
Brandt can play on both sides of the attack and through the middle, while he can also play as a central midfielder and behind the striker.
He has bagged 56 goals and 69 assists in 298 appearances for Dortmund and could be a decent addition to the Arsenal attack as a free signing.
The former Bayer Leverkusen star has tallied ten goals and three assists in 32 games this term.
The 48-cap Germany international has more than enough experience, and Arteta could do with such a figure in the dressing room.
Arsenal are eager to keep challenging for silverware, and they need greater depth in quality across the attack and other positions.
Brandt could prove to be a valuable addition to the squad, but pipping others in the race to sign him could be tricky given that he will be available for free.
