Aston Villa eye move for PSG forward Ibrahim Mbaye ahead of the summer

Aston Villa are interested in bringing Paris Saint-Germain forward Ibrahim Mbaye to the club this summer, according to Sky Sports.

Manager Unai Emery wants to strengthen his attacking options, and the Senegalese international could emerge as a top target.

The 18-year-old has only started ten games this season, and a move to Villa could appeal to him if he is guaranteed regular playing opportunities.

Mbaye plays on both wings and even in central midfield, and the Villans could utilise his talents and huge potential.

They are challenging for a top-four finish in the Premier League as they eye Champions League qualification for next season.

Securing a spot in the elite European competition could boost their chances of luring Mbaye to England.

Several other Premier League clubs are also considering a move for the PSG forward.

Villa are currently fourth in the table, ahead of the final seven league games of the campaign. They are one point behind third-place Manchester United and five points ahead of fifth-place Liverpool.

They were initially considered the dark horses in the title race, but injuries to key players and a lack of quality squad depth derailed their season.

Emery will be desperate to improve next season, and adding Mbaye to the squad could come in handy.
