There was disappointment in the Arsenal dressing room after the defeat at Man City

Arsenal lost 2-1 to Manchester City on Sunday in a huge blow to their Premier League title chances.

While there was disappointment in the Gunners dressing room after the game, there was no despondency, according to The Athletic.

Manager Mikel Arteta will hope they can quickly put the disappointment behind them when Newcastle United visit Emirates Stadium on Saturday.

Arsenal are top of the league and still fancy their chances of getting the job done.

Midfielder Declan Rice was reportedly spotted at the end of the game telling his teammates that the title race is not over, and a win against the Magpies would be huge.

They played better yesterday than in the League Cup final, and winning their remaining five league fixtures is feasible.

However, Newcastle United, Fulham, West Ham United, Burnley and Crystal Palace could cause them problems.

Man City face Everton, Brentford, Bournemouth, Aston Villa and Palace after their game against Burnley on Wednesday.

Arsenal could also receive some much-needed injury boosts as Bukayo Saka, Jurrien Timber and Riccardo Calafiori are close to returning to full fitness.

Arteta has not had a fully fit squad this season, with at least one key player always injured.

The onus is on the players to treat every game like a final, and the fans will be hoping they can get the job done in the coming weeks after the recent disappointing run.
