Liverpool defender Ibrahima Konate is expected to leave the Anfield club this summer.
The 27-year-old Liverpool star claimed some weeks ago that an agreement was close to being reached to extend his contract. However, Konate is expected to leave the club.
Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson are leaving Liverpool this summer, and the French international centre-back will also be exiting.
The Reds defender played 51 games across all competitions this season and will now look to use the World Cup to attract suitors.
Tottenham Hotspur defender Micky van de Ven has been linked with Liverpool, while a move for Bayer Leverkusen defender Jarell Quansah was reported some weeks ago.
The Merseyside club sold the Englishman to the Bundesliga club last summer for €35 million but secured an €80m buy-back clause in the deal.
The clause is valid until the end of May, and Liverpool may consider triggering it.
Konate currently earns around £150,000 a week at the club and is seeking an increase.
He wants to be one of the highest earners at Liverpool alongside Florian Wirtz, who earns around £250,000 a week.
However, the club only want to extend his deal on their terms, and both parties have failed to reach a resolution.
Real Madrid were linked with Konate but withdrew their interest last November. They could return for him if he becomes available on a free transfer in the coming weeks.
Rennes centre-back Jeremy Jacquet is set to join Liverpool in July following an agreement in the winter transfer window, and he could go straight into their starting XI to replace Konate.
