Juventus have joined Tottenham Hotspur in the race for Andy Robertson and are trying to hijack the move with a proposal, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Tottenham have been in advanced talks for weeks with the Liverpool defender over a free transfer and a deal is very close.
Spurs boosted their chances of signing Robertson after securing survival following a 1-0 win over Everton on Sunday.
However, the final decision is now up to the defender after Juventus joined the race.
Journalist Gianluca Di Marzio claims Tottenham remain favourites, but they will be praying a move to Serie A does not appeal to Robertson.
Juventus will be playing in the Europa League next term after finishing sixth in the league.
However, the 36-time Serie A champions remain a force to be reckoned with and will look to challenge for the title next term.
The same cannot be said about Spurs, who just narrowly escaped relegation, and Robertson could be tempted to play in another league.
The 32-year-old spent nine seasons at Liverpool, winning two Premier League titles and one Champions League trophy.
He brings quality, leadership and experience to the table, and Tottenham were desperate to sign him during the winter transfer window.
The deal fell through as Liverpool could not sign a replacement. It was widely believed that the Scottish defender would join Spurs at the end of the season.
However, Juve are looking to pip them to a move.
