Aston Villa now want £130m for Arsenal target Morgan Rogers

Aston Villa value Arsenal target Morgan Rogers at a British record £130 million, according to the Telegraph.

Gunners manager Mikel Arteta wants the Villa star. However, a deal could prove tricky as the Villans want at least £130m to sanction a sale.

The Gunners will face competition from Chelsea for Rogers, but manager Unai Emery is unwilling to lose Rogers.

Suitors will have to break the bank to sign the 23-year-old, and it is unclear whether Arsenal have plans to splash the cash on another forward.

Manchester City have agreed a £116m deal for Nottingham Forest midfielder Elliot Anderson, and Villa believe their attacker is more valuable.

Rogers ended last season with 14 goals and 12 assists in 55 appearances across all competitions, helping Villa to win the Europa League.

He is one of the best attackers in the Premier League but the Gunners are unlikely to meet Villa’s demands.

The Premier League champions want to strengthen in midfield and defence as they look to win the title again next season.

They are also desperate to one better in the Champions League after losing last season’s final to Paris Saint-Germain.
