Arsenal are reportedly looking to sign Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimaraes this summer and have held talks with his representatives.
Guimaraes is aware that the Gunners are keen on signing him, and he has dropped a huge hint on social media that he wants to join them.
The 28-year-old posted a picture of himself on Instagram alongside Arsenal centre-back Gabriel Magalhaes, just a few minutes after the story linking him with the club was published.
Guimaraes’ last post before his recent one was more than ten hours ago, and Arsenal fans will believe he was reacting to the latest transfer rumour.
He could have uploaded a photo of himself and any other Brazilian, but choosing Gabriel cannot be a coincidence.
He has been involved in 50 Premier League goals across the last four seasons, and he would be an excellent signing for Arsenal.
The Newcastle star ended last season with nine goals and six assists in 29 Premier League games. His productivity in the final third is a quality the Gunners could do with.
He has two years left on his Newcastle contract, and they could be forced to sell him this summer, as he is unlikely to sign an extension.
