The former Man City manager loved Dele-Bashiru’s work rate and attitude after he first joined up with senior team training in March 2019.
The England-born midfielder moved to Sheffield Wednesday in 2020 before a spell in the Super Lig with Hatayspor in 2023-24.
His performances earned him a move to Lazio the following season, and he has caught the eye of Man United with his technicality and dynamism.
The box-to-box midfielder is defensively robust, and his creativity could be perfect for the Red Devils.
However, he is way down their wishlist, and a move will only be considered if they miss out on other top targets.
