Tottenham Hotspur to accelerate move to sign Manchester City star Savinho

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly preparing to accelerate a move to sign Manchester City attacker Savinho.

They have identified the Brazilian as their ‘chosen target’ as manager Roberto De Zerbi looks to strengthen in the final third.

Spurs wanted Savinho last summer and are now ready to open talks again with Man City over a move.

Pep Guardiola once claimed that Savinho could become a ‘top-class player’, and a move to Tottenham could bring out the best in him.

He has not been able to play regularly at Man City, and joining Spurs could give him a chance to play consistently in the Premier League.

Richarlison is expected to leave the club, and De Zerbi wants his fellow Brazilian as his direct replacement.

Savinho’s ability to impress on both wings is a quality Tottenham need, and they could table an official bid for him in the coming days.

The 22-year-old missed out on a place in the Brazil squad for the World Cup and will be desperate to force his way back into contention.

Spurs have strengthened in the middle of the park with the signings of Mateus Fernandes and Sandro Tonali.

Martin Dubravka, Marcos Senesi, Andy Robertson and Jan Paul van Hecke have been added to the defence, and they are now looking to bolster their attacking ranks.
