Everton are interested in signing Eintracht Frankfurt attacker Jean-Matteo Bahoya, according to journalist Ed Aarons.
Toffees manager David Moyes wants attacking reinforcements. Bahoya, the Bundesliga’s fastest player, has emerged as a target for Everton.
However, the 21-year-old Frenchman has other Premier League clubs keeping tabs on him. His pace and ability to get past players are major strengths.
The Everton target completed an average of 2.78 take-ons per game last season, more than 94 percent of the wingers in Europe’s top five leagues.
Bahoya is not only brilliant at passing, dribbling and finishing, but he also boasts impressive defensive contribution.
He is excellent at winning duels and making interceptions, ranking in the top 11% for duels won (8.9) and top 10% for interceptions per game (0.88) among wingers in Europe’s top five leagues last season.
He also tackles well, ranking in the top 13% among wingers in Europe’s top five leagues last season for tackles game (2.1).
Bahoya was involved in seven Bundesliga goals last term and Moyes will hope he becomes better in front of goal if he joins the Toffees.
Burnley forward Zian Flemming, Como attacker Assane Diao and Tottenham Hotspur’s Richarlison have been recently linked with Everton.
More players are likely to emerge as targets in the remaining days of the summer transfer window, and the fans will hope the club make a signing.
