Manchester City attacker Jack Grealish has reportedly decided that he wants to join Everton ahead of Aston Villa if he leaves the club this summer.
The Englishman spent last season on loan with the Toffees and manager David Moyes wants him back.
However, Grealish also has an offer from former club Villa. Manager Unai Emery has lost Ollie Watkins and he wants reinforcements in the final third.
Villa want Grealish back but he is keen to return to Everton if he leaves Man City.
He featured against Arsenal in the Community Shield and also came off the bench against Bournemouth in City’s first Premier League game of the season.
Enzo Maresca could opt to hold on to the Toffees target but there are no guarantees that he will get to play regularly given the options available to the new City manager.
Grealish was a regular at Everton last season before an injury ended his loan spell, starting 18 of the 20 Premier League games he featured in.
An opportunity to keep playing regularly would appeal to the Man City star as he still dreams of playing for England after a long spell out of the squad.
He has not played for the Three Lions since 2024 and will need an excellent campaign to boost his chances of forcing his way into manager Thomas Tuchel’s plans.
