Victor Osimhen has decided to stay at Galatasaray despite strong interest from Arsenal

Arsenal target Victor Osimhen has decided to stay at Galatasaray beyond this summer, according to French outlet Foot Mercato.

The Gunners have Atletico Madrid’s Julian Alvarez on their radar, but signing him has proven tricky as he wants to join Barcelona.

Arsenal have other striking targets in mind but Osimhen has no plans to leave Turkey this summer.

The imminent arrival of Portuguese attacker Rafael Leao from AC Milan has played a key role in his decision.

Arsenal will now hope to clinch a deal for Alvarez, but Manchester City are keen on bringing him back following Omar Marmoush’s exit.

Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford ia another option, with a potential loan deal mooted.

However, the Englishman is unlikely to leave the Red Devils temporarily again and manager Michael Carrick appears keen to give him a chance.

The Gunners have bolstered their attack with the recruitment of Greek attacker Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge.

Brazilian midfielder Bruno Guimaraes will also be expected to contribute in the final third given his record in front of goal in the Premier League.

English defender Ezri Konsa and French goalkeeper Illan Meslier have been added to the defence, while Piero Hincapie has joined permanently after spending last season on loan from Bayer Leverkusen.

Arsenal need one more signing in attack and fans will hope one arrives before next Tuesday’s deadline.
