Spurs defender Pedro Porro expected to be out of action for a month with hamstring injury

Tottenham Hotspur are set to be without Spanish defender Pedro Porro for around a month following a hamstring injury, according to The Athletic.

Spurs visit Manchester United after the international break before hosting Coventry City on October 19. Porro will likely miss both games.

He picked up a knock against Aston Villa last Saturday and subsequently withdrew from Spain’s squad for the ongoing international break.

He missed the Premier League opener against Brentford due to an extended break after the World Cup.

Porro made his first appearance of the season in the League Cup match against Charlton Athletic, and also featured in the league games against Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest.

However, the 27-year-old missed the next games against Everton and Liverpool due to an injury before returning against Villa.

Tottenham are hoping Porro will be available for selection when they take on Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on October 24.

Archie Gray has featured at right-back and is expected to start against Man United and Coventry.

Spurs are rock bottom of the Premier League table following a winless start to the new campaign.

They have drawn two and lost three of their opening five league games, and manager Roberto De Zerbi will be desperate to turn things around quickly.

A win against the Red Devils will be huge for the morale of the squad going forward, but they will have to get a result without Porro.
